What is an assistance
dog?
Any animal/dog
individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person
with a disability. This can include guiding a person with a visual impairment,
alerting a person with a hearing impairment to the presence of people or sounds,
pulling a wheelchair, alerting a person with a seizure disorder to an oncoming

Assistance
Dogs help people to overcome the limitations of their disabilities and the
barriers in their environments.These
specially trained dogs are called “Assistance dogs” in Australia, and “Service
